FEATURE PROJECT | CITY OF LAS VEGAS FIRE STATION PROTOTYPE
- 7,800 SF Las Vegas Fire Station Prototype.
- The station features cradle to cradle certified stone veneer, low emissivity windows for day-lighting, LED exterior lighting, bamboo finish interiors, an innovative energy-efficient natural gas-fired HVAC condenser unit, a guiding automation system, animated public safety signage, water efficient landscaping and on-site water-retention facilities.
- Certified LEED Silver
- Structural design incorporated Insulated Concrete Form (ICF) walls allowing greater energy efficiency and curved steel beams in the roof system.
- The design also incorporated constructability requirements allowing the ICF walls to be stepped along the top of the wall with steel stand- offs to receive the curved steel beams at the roof.
- Fire Station 107 received a 2013 ICF Builder Award and a 2012 Station Style Design Award from Fire Chief Magazine.
